So I found this shirt at the thrift store. But I LOVED the gathered waist and the flow of it. I saw its potential. So I took it to the machine and made a very simple adjustment. Threw on my fave belt, a classy necklace, some skinny jeans and voila! I now have a new… Continue reading Transformation

The Cain Train Part 2
We spent an extra day in Albuquerque on the way out, and I’m glad we did. We had a lot of fun running around with Nancy and the boys (Russ had to work). The coolest part was taking the tram ride up to the top of the Sandia mountains. So cool! The tram takes you… Continue reading The Cain Train Part 2
Thriftynifty: Unique Thrift Store Finds
(disclaimer: this is a very girlie post!) I had a lucky day at the thrift store today. So, I’m going to write a little feature on each item. Today’s is an “as is” item, but the others need a little reworking magic. So they’ll make their debut soon. Everywhere you look, it’s boots, boots, boots!… Continue reading Thriftynifty: Unique Thrift Store Finds
A Flourishing Garden
What a beauty! My personal fave is the bean tower. Or maybe it’s the out-of-control tomatoes. Or possibly the squash pile. Or the fact that my chard is now pickable! The gourds, cucumbers, watermelons and sunflowers are well on their way too! I currently have 5 eggplants growing, a million green cherry tomatoes, and some… Continue reading A Flourishing Garden

About half of these are still in the sprout stage, but are growing quickly. I can’t wait until everything… Continue reading Little Baia Update
Make Your Sink Sparkle (without chemicals!)
We have a stainless steel sink which is hard to keep shiny. Plus, I don’t know about you, but I feel like my sink is grimy and germy all the time, even if I just cleaned it! Amongst the many blogs I peruse, I found a tip on cleaning with boiling water. Simple, efficient, chemical free….brilliant! I… Continue reading Make Your Sink Sparkle (without chemicals!)

This Week in Pictures: Barrio Hollywood and iPad love
Top Left: Mom and I explored the Barrio Hollywood festival this weekend. It was like the 4th ave street fair but on Grande and way smaller. Top Right: Our octopus agave has shot an enormous stalk out of its center that resembles a mutant asparagus. It is now blooming it’s buds in a ripple-like fashion,… Continue reading This Week in Pictures: Barrio Hollywood and iPad love
From my Kitchen
You’d think with all my fidgeting in the kitchen lately I’d of made some gourmet Easter dinner. Nope. I pulled out good ol’ Betty Crocker and made some cinnamon rolls. Yum. All I need now is a hot cup of coffee.
