After reading through several unsubstantiated rumors, I decided to photoshop a mockup of Matt Damon as Captain Kirk and Ben Affleck as Mr. Spock, for the upcoming Star Trek XI movie.
I can tell you now, it’s not going to work. Please, Paramount Pictures, think of the children.

I dunno.. The biggest problem would be having Affleck speak purely logically. I think his past movies (Good Will Hunting, Paycheck, Clerks, Chasing Amy) show that Damon is the more calculating, and Affleck the more emotional. I can’t see Damon dropping highly canned lines to chicks and getting away with it. Affleck – maybe.
