Adventures in China: Day 5

Day 5: A long day of travel

Next, we left Dongguan, and headed to Chongquing. First, was a 2 hour bus ride to the airport in Guangzhou.

We saw some pretty sights along the way.

The Guangzhou airport was HUGE. The check in process was very smooth. None of us were checking baggage, only carry-ons. A truck was driving the 48 hour trip with all our luggage to meet us in Chongqing Tuesday night. The only kink was our flight was delayed due to bad weather.

It was kinda annoying at first, because we didn’t know how long. It turned out to only be an hour. Everyone was able to get on wifi, play card games, call home, eat, and explore, so we were content. It’s a really fun group of people.

The plane ride was only 1.5 hours. Our next hotel was really nice, too. We are on the 8th floor.

We ate a late dinner. The food is very spicy here. Szechuan spicy. It’s soooooo good!

It makes Phil’s face sweat like crazy!

We also had some little friends join us for dinner.

  1. Haha! Actually, that’s not Phil’s. It’s not anyone’s. It was just already there when we sat down.
